For parents and guardians

ModelMate is a parent-managed practice tool, not a child account service or a medical product. Only upload a child’s information or photo when you have the right to do so. ModelMate does not diagnose, treat, or assess a medical condition.

Information stored

Your account name and email, child profiles and optional photos, notes and skills, uploaded videos or YouTube links, stories, assignments, practice records, favorites, support reports, and feature permissions are stored to provide the app. Native sign-in credentials are held in the device’s secure storage. Provider usage is recorded for operating costs.

Subscriptions and purchase data

Apple or Google processes in-app payments. RevenueCat receives an app account identifier and store purchase information to verify subscriptions and restores. ModelMate stores credit balances, generation reservations and verified billing periods; it does not receive your card details or send child photos or stories to RevenueCat. Minimal pseudonymous transaction claims are retained after account deletion to prevent duplicate credit grants; final financial-retention terms must be approved before store release.

AI is optional

With your explicit permission, Google Gemini receives story requests, selected child profile details, an optional reference photo, and illustration-edit instructions. OpenAI receives story text for narration. Requests are processed through Emergent’s AI service. Declining AI permission does not prevent video uploads, links or progress tracking. Withdraw permission in Profile; this applies to future requests, not processing already sent.

Photos, videos and sharing

Private media is accessed through authenticated app routes and hosted by our storage provider. A parent can intentionally create a public, unlisted story link; anyone holding that link can read the story. The publisher can also add selected stories to the Library for all signed-in caregivers; Library links still require sign-in. Shared illustrations may resemble the child, but the original profile photo is not included. Recipients may keep printed or downloaded copies. YouTube embeds contact YouTube, which applies its own privacy practices.

Deletion and retention

You can delete your account in Profile or through the account-deletion web page. Account-linked app records are removed and sessions and media access are revoked. Our current storage provider does not expose physical file deletion: underlying files may remain in provider storage pending provider-supported erasure. A minimal erasure record identifies these files. This limitation must be resolved and a retention schedule approved before public store release.

Tracking and permissions

ModelMate does not bundle its own advertising or session-replay SDK. Embedded YouTube content may display ads and uses YouTube’s privacy practices. Camera access is optional and requested only when taking a photo. Choosing existing media uses the system picker; the app does not request unrestricted library access. Microphone permission is not requested.

Questions and requests

Use Support to contact the app publisher or report an AI result. The publisher’s final legal identity, public support contact and provider retention terms must be confirmed before store submission. This is the current preparation-stage privacy disclosure, not a statement that the app has passed store or legal review.
